We have had rain! In a desert, rain is such a rare and precious occurrence. I missed the first sprinkling, although I could smell that it had been there; the air smells so clean. Very few things smell good wet, but the desert air seems to scream with relief (if smell were a sound, that is). It wasn’t until later in the evening, when I wasn’t even expecting it, that I was able to enjoy the actual drops falling, and even then, it only lasted for a moment.

this reminds me of the connection I feel sometimes when there is a harmonious flow of Life in Christ. Though it seems to last for a moment, it is such a relief!
I’m so glad you were able to experience the rain for those few moments, Bill! (applause)
