How often I’ve heard this expressed in a form that makes it sound like Paul was saying, “For Christ’s sake!!! Would you please [do this or that]...?”
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
— Romans 12:1-2, NASB
Brothers and sisters, I urge you to realize that we are living a holy life made available by God’s own mercy! It is in seeing ourselves the way that God has made us, acceptable to him (and God saw that it was good), that we serve him and worship him. And don’t give in to the things the world says we should be and do, but realize that God has given us a new way of seeing things that proves that what he has in mind for us is good and acceptable and perfect.
